Retreat Time!!!

This weekend two things happened. I went on an all weekend long Scrapbooking Retreat!  YEY!!  I stayed not 1 but 2 nights away from my baby!  BOO!  But, he got to spend the time with Nonnie and his Daddy and did very well, and was really really happy to see me when I got home Sunday afternoon! :)  Here are some of the layouts I did.  I finished 46 layouts!!  I'll be adding most of the pictures of layouts to my Scrapbook.com account, but until then, enjoy!

Its such a great feeling to finally get started on Jake's baby album!  however, the 46 pages were from birth to one month.  I'm in trouble!!!  I'm going to need more bookshelf space!

Sweet Potato Pie!

As promised, pictures of Jake having a yummy time with Sweet Potatoes!

He's now eating 2.5 oz at a time, ziggy piggy!!  And, he loves the sweet potatoes, squash, and carrots!  On to Green Veggies next!

Adventures With Socks!

I know these pictures are a bit grainy, but you can tell what's going on.  My son, he's just awesome, isn't he!  These are screen grabs from his day care's web cam...

1. Successfully removed sock from foot!  YEY!
2. mmmm, the sock tastes like squash!
3. OH, Teacher took sock away, thank goodness I have ANOTHER one!
4. Why won't this sock come off!

Look how easy he can lift that leg and put his foot in his mouth!  Wait, should we be proud?  Well, anyway, we are!  By the way, he can ALSO stick his entire fist in his mouth!  YES, that we should be proud of!

Soon after, a passy was found and took all interest in socks away, and time for a little nap.  Taking just one sock off is hard work!!!  Apparently...  Notice he still has only one sock on.  NICE! :)

Just wanted to say THANKS to our troops out there serving and retired.  We would not be who we are with out you!

We had a low key Memorial Day, nothing special, just yummy hamburgers for us and sweet potatoes for Jake!

So, I have to explain our cake.

My mother bought me a cake pan in the shape of a giant sandwich!!  So, it really looks like a sandwich!  It has jell-O, fruit, and whipped cream in the middle!
