Christmas Card and Tags 2021

I feel like I've dropped off the face of the earth for a while.  We have had several health scares in the family and I've been away from blogging just as I was starting up again.  I have been making cards since, but unable to post until now.

My husband and I got into designing stencils and printing them on the 3D printer!  This was our attempt at layering, with the leaves and the berries.  I think it turned out nice!  And, I added the smiles for fun!
The candy stripes is ALSO a home made stencil!

I LOVE making Tags! I don't buy them anymore!  I have a TON of Christmas themed paper so I try to use it as much as possible

This is a spinner card!  I just absolutely LOVE this nutcracker set, and since the guy is symmetrical, he spins well!

I also had to make a bunch of last minute cards that I wanted to "mass produce".

You want some soup?

As a HUGE Star Wars Fan, been one since my Mom took me to see the first one at the ripe ole age of 4 in 1977, I was ecstatic about the Mandalorian Series on Disney+.  I was hooked on the first season, and delighted to show my son as well, and the 2nd season was even better!  Anyway, I just love Grogu!  He's the cutest!!!  So, when I found Ink Road Stamps and saw that they have the child in not 1 but 2 sets, I couldn't wait to order and use them.  She also has a sentiments set for Star Wars.  I had to have that one too.

Speaking of the Mandalorian, my favorite scene from season one was when Mando met Cara Dune, and they fought in the alley evenly matched, and at the height of it, the child walks out of the cafĂ© with some soup, and watches them.  Mando asks Cara "You want some soup" as the child takes a sip.  Just perfect!  AND, of course there's an image of the child and the soup cup in the stamp set.

Stamps "Baby on Board" Ink Road Stamps
Alphabet stamps for the soup title
AWESOME Star Wars paper from Sandy Lion
Copic markers for coloring
Washi tape

The copics on grogu's robe - E33 and E00 BOTH decided to run out of ink while coloring for these cards!  I use those 2 colors all the time, especially for skin tones and animal fur, and its perfect for this robe.

Since those colors ran out, I had to go to my stash of "cheep alcohol markers" (the black ones) my mom bought off of Wish I think.  They are a little more yellow than brown, but they still work.  I changed up the greens too by adding the other non-copic white markers above.  Those were found at Tuesday Morning, again by my mom.  She spoils me so!

Stamps "Holiday Baby"
Stamps "Droid Please" for the icons
Random paper from stash
Copic colors.
I believe the tree behind Grogu is a Tim Holtz Die

This is the one I did with the other colors.  Not bad!  He really stands out!
Just for the record, my mother bought all sorts of 6x6 paper pads, decided she didn't need them, and gave them to me.  What's funny is she always buys me one when she gets one, so now I have DOUBLE the 6x6 paper pads, mostly Christmas!!

Here's to my Mom for making this post possible!

First, let's do some Christmas Posting!  YEY!  We had a nice Christmas, Hermy kept us busy, and we enjoyed Dean getting up after all this time.

Jake got a Bike from Santa Claus and Daddy helping him ride!

We had a very low key vacation this years since we couldn't travel to the Ranch.  We all missed going down there, and hope to get there soon.  We didn't do much for New Years Eve but we watched the Dick Clark's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest, then we had to try to keep Buddy calm from 8pm until about 1am with all the fireworks.  HE HATES FIREWORKS!

Here's to a happy and prosperous new year!  2014 was a difficult year, especially the last half which you all know and followed me thru all the crazy posts, some I barely believe happened!

Company Holiday Party

Every year my company has a Holiday Luncheon early in December.  It's a simple lunch with some music entertainment, then announcing the winners of the centerpiece decorating, and then giving out door prizes.  And, to shake things up a bit, each year they come up with a new theme!  This year's theme was "Down Home Holiday Lunch" and we could dress Christmas Western for the day! YEY!

Also, the center pieces were also to be western theme. Here's the one I did, and of COURSE it won Most Holiday Spirit!

But the best part of the day?  I got to wear my AWESOME SANTA COWBOY HAT!
I took 2 Santa hats (cheap ones from Walmart) and cut the trim off both and glued one of the red parts on the crown of the hat, then took the trim from both hats and glued it on the brim of the hat.  I took a pretty ribbon and awesome plastic white poinsettia and made the decoration for the hat, and tadaah!  Santa Cowboy Hat!
I make this look GOOD!

Our entertainment!  Great Holiday band!  Most of them are co-workers.

Christmas is coming!!!

So, we had a successful Black Friday to Cyber Monday weekend!  We got most of our family shopping finished, and are really knocking out the gift list this week as well!  This will leave us more time to shop for Jake and each other, and to plan and attend parties!

We have several things going in December, so I'm glad we had an Extra Week of Christmas Time this year!  Really gets me in a festive mood!  So to start things off, we decorated the Christmas Tree!

Jake did so AWESOME with the tree!
I got some non-breakable ornaments set out for him, and HE LOVED putting them on the Christmas Tree!  It was a complete DREAM come TRUE!  Watchin his eyes light up with each ornament i handed him!  He is DEFINATELY MY BOY!

The finished Tree - YES!  Started on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and finished on Sunday!

Saturday, we went to the Galleria, i'll have to add the pics I took of the tree later, but here is a "good" one of the three of us.  :)

Once we got our tree finished, we celebrated AGAIN with open mouths AAAAAAAAAAH!
That's our boy!

I'm also working on decorating my finger nails, of course, what do ya think?

AND, since my work Holiday Lunch party this year is western theme, I made myself a hat to wear!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

My little boy

I cannot believe my son turns 1 this week!  He's such a joy and a blessing!  I had to share this!

When we got him home on December 17, 2010, we went crazy with the pictures and passing around the baby.  He was just TOO CUTE!

Almost ONE year later, he still fits in the box, but he's a bit bigger (and hard to get him sittng still)

Love this little guy!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas as a Family!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We had a GREAT time celebrating on Christmas Eve at Nonnie and Papa's house with all the family!  It was our first BIG outing with the baby.  I think he did quite well!!

This is me with three of Jake's cousins.  Natalie is holding Jake and apparently is known as "the baby whisperer" in their house!  These three have 5 other siblings!  Lots of cousins to grow up with!
We have two new babies in the family this year!  This is Jake and his cousin Lily Anne who is 4 months old
We celebrated Christmas late in the morning, after a 6am bottle then a 10am bottle!  Jake got some good stuff!  Well, clothes and other small toys.  And, Santa thought it would be alright to start him early, and he did get a couple action figures, C3PO and R2-D2!

And, for New Years we well, did nothing really.  We went to Walmart to get something to fix for dinner, which ended up being Jalapeno Poppers, BBQ Brisket, Mashed Potatoes, Guinness Beer, and a Cherry Pie!  WOO HOO!  We were in bed by 10:30 and I slept thru the "war zone" outside at midnight and woke up when Jake woke up hungry at 12:45.

Here's our Audirsch Rockin New Years Eve Party!

For New Years Day, we all had these great Old Navy Hoodies.  Jake's has these cute little ears on the hood!  LOVE IT!
Anyway, I will be sure to keep you updated on all things Jake!  He's such a blessing!

Happy New Year!!!

Oh, Christmas Tree!

YEY!  I have a beautiful Christmas tree!  I actually had it finished Thanksgiving weekend.

The tree is a pre-lit tree with only white lights
And, now, with the multi-color lights added

I have some of the ornaments on, just playing with the feature on my camera here...
My mother made me this ornament when I was a baby!
 And, here's the finished tree!!!

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas!
